What happened to the gay marriage bill in Albania?

Made headlines in the summer when the Democrats proposed such an unpopular law, but whatever happened since ? Did they shelve it, defeat it, or are about to pass it ?What happened to the gay marriage bill in Albania?
They are still discussing it. There is a lot of controversy because the society is conservative and straight.

@uva guy: Albania was never part of the Soviet Block. It was helped by the USSR but it has never been under them.

I can find lots of references saying that they were going to vote on it this fall, and it seemed a fait accompli that it would pass, but I have not found anything saying it actually has yet.





@Carls: Albania is a country in Europe that was a part of the old Soviet bloc. Are you sure you are not......?





@Blumenn: I stand corrected, but I was a lot closer than Carls. And I would postulate that any Marxist country that close to what was technically the USSR was a de facto part of the Soviet bloc, although perhaps 'Eastern Bloc' or 'Communist Bloc' would have been more accurate.
